A successful website launch
Shield Transport Services aimed to establish itself as a trusted luxury transportation provider in the Treasure Valley, Idaho. The objective was to design a website that conveyed comfort, style, and security with a refined and elevated feel.
Role and responsibilities
As the lead designer, I took on multiple roles. I started by analyzing competitor websites and exploring their content and booking processes. I also researched well-designed service websites for inspiration to ensure our approach felt fresh yet familiar to the target audience.
Building on this research, I designed a cohesive visual language that aligned with the brand's values and exported and implemented the design into Squarespace to create a seamless and functional final product.
Challenges faced & solutions
Balancing functionality with a sophisticated look was challenging, so I used a minimalist design with clean layouts. For photography, I selected stock photos that aligned with the brand’s vision and optimized them to maintain quality without slowing load times. To overcome Squarespace’s limitations, I leveraged advanced styling options and custom CSS to achieve the desired design.
Aligning vision and functionality
The final design resulted in a website that was both intuitive and visually stunning, successfully capturing the brand’s identity and improving its online presence. This project reinforced the importance of aligning design with a brand's core values while balancing sophistication and usability. Working with Squarespace allowed me to focus on both design and functionality, and the positive client feedback highlighted the value of thoughtful design in achieving business goals.
