Keys to connection: crafting The Giving Keys’ welcome email

First impressions that matter

The Giving Keys, a brand built on meaningful connections through jewelry, deserves a welcome email that radiates its mission from the first glance. The original welcome email, however, fell short—its design lacked polish, the sections felt disjointed, and both messaging and calls-to-action were weak or unclear.

Role and responsibilities

  • Found the problems – The old email had a messy layout, disconnected sections, and didn’t guide readers well.

  • Planned the fix – Redesigned the layout for better flow, stronger messaging, and clear calls-to-action that matched the brand’s tone.

  • Kept it on-brand – Used The Giving Keys’ colors, fonts, and style to make sure the email felt authentic and consistent.

  • Designed the layout – Built a clean, easy-to-read design in Photoshop, made for both mobile and desktop.

  • Built it in Klaviyo – Exported the design and created a responsive HTML email in Klaviyo, with working links and buttons.

Tools Used

  • Adobe Photoshop — for crafting the clean, brand-aligned layout

  • Klaviyo — for exporting the design and deploying it as a functional, responsive email

Outcome & Impact

My redesign made the welcome email feel clear, inviting, and on-brand. With a consistent look, stronger messaging, and clear calls-to-action, it gave The Giving Keys a stronger first impression. While I don’t have the numbers here, results could be shown later with improved open rates, clicks, or positive feedback.
